A local business in Fort Wayne, Apex Metrology Solutions specializes in Metrology Services and Products. I was asked to build their new website. The first step was to photograph what they do on a daily basis. I was given the chance to see their amazing machines at work. They use probes, such as the one in the third photo below, to measure the accuracy of parts made by manufacturers. These probes are about the size of a pencil eraser. The impressive part is HOW precise these machines are, measuring down to 100,000th of an inch (which is basically about 1/10th the thickness of a strand of hair).
