Day Trip to Indianapolis

Travel

From Ramen to Murals

With so much to do in Indianapolis, it is refreshing to take occasional one-day trips to explore all that the Crossroads of America has to offer! There is only so much you can cram into one day, but if you know me, then you know I tried my best. We started our venture by finally checking out a shop that has been on our radar for a couple of years now: Doughnuts & Dragons. We had planned to finally go here in person for Indy Comic-Con; however, COVID dastardly ruined our plans. Instead, we finally got to try it for this trip! They specialize in having board games along with doughnuts and beer, quite an interesting trifecta! Their doughnuts were unique and delicious.

Our two favorite adventures were Pirates Quest and Fastimes Indoor Karting. I am always a big fan of a relaxing putt-putt game, and Pirates Quest remains the most unique looking putt-putt course I have seen in Indiana. We also enjoyed walking the artistic streets in Broad Ripple, where we enjoyed the most amazing craft burgers at 317 Burger. I would insistently go back just for that burger! There were murals all over the place, and we got lucky enough to see one in particular in progress.

Last, and 150% not least, was our lunch choice of ramen at Kuzuki Ramen & Izakaya. I love seeing ramen become a more common option in Indiana, and it definitely has grown over the years. This was unquestionably the best ramen I have ever had. Their Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen was bursting with flavor in every bite. I would love to go back just to try more of their amazing dishes and highly recommend you check them out!

That being said, here are my favorite photos from our trip! What is your favorite thing to do when you are in Indy?
