Abandoned Exploration

Exploring Ohio

After exploring many abandoned houses over the past couple months, I finally got my hands on some nice big abandoned locations to explore. Leaving bright and early this Saturday morning, we drove east and watched the sun rise.

The first location was an abandoned TB Hospital in Ohio. This place was quite impressive, with four floors of crumbling rooms to explore. Again I found my fish-eye very handy as there were many rooms that were so amazing you just had to capture the whole room in one shot.

There was graffiti all over the walls, this place was clearly a popular destination. But there was much to be photographed. Best of all is that we arrived an hour after the sun rose and there were beautiful beams of light going through the windows. The weather was in the 40's and the sky was clear.

After this we went back to Indiana and found an abandoned factory north of Fort Wayne. This place was much more open and had a giant courtyard area that reminded me somewhat of Rome, with pillars and a big walled in area. There were abandoned cars, toys, and a very creepy basement. All in all the adventure today will not be forgotten and I again hope to discover more bigger and better abandoned places as the weeks progress.
