39 Film Camera's

It is not unusual for a photographer to have a fascination with film camera's. I find myself no different than the rest where this matter is concerned, having grown my film camera collection extensively these last few years. There is just something about preserving the roots of photography that draws me in, because the fact of the matter is, most of us shoot digital now, and these film cameras are a thing of the past. 

But because most of us shoot digital now, film camera's have a mysterious allure to them as well. The last time I wrote about my film camera collection, I had grown my numbers to 13. That was a couple years ago, and I have since tripled my collection to 39! I have all sorts ranging from 35mm and 120mm to large format Polaroids and Super 8mm movie film cameras. I also have brands that range from Argus, Kodak, Minolta, Ricoh, Vivitar, to Yashica. 

As you may know, I have used some of these camera's in my photography, primarily the Kodak Dualflex camera's. That film series that I have dubbed: TTL, has been one of my favorites from over the years. The photos were taken by shooting through the lens of the film camera itself.

Now that I have some interesting cameras, such as my most recent addition of my first Movie Camera, the Keystone Capri K-30, I am anxious to start buying film so that i can begin using these different cameras. You can expect in later blogs to see what kind of imagery I come up with as I play with these film cameras of the past.
