Cosplay Selfies

This past weekend I had a blast spending 3 days in downtown Indianapolis to nerd out with Cosplayers, artists, and friends! Comic Con, if you did not know, showcases SO much more than just comics. Features include comic books, magazines, toys, games, Star Wars, Star Trek, anime, manga, cosplay, artwork, sketches and apparel. There were dozens of great panels to listen in on, hundreds of amazing artists, and thousands of great cosplay costumes.

As a photographer, I was at first a bit overwhelmed at what my goal might be. Part of me of course just wanted to enjoy the event, but my photographer side refuses to just sit back and chill. One of my friends convinced me to take a selfie with Chewbacca, and from there this series was born! I decided to take selfies with as many cool cosplayers as I could. And so instead of worrying too much about getting great quality shots of the amazing outfits, no doubt plenty of other photographs had that covered, I decided to do things my own way.

I definitley recommend checking out Comic Con in the future if you have never been, as it truley has all sorts of things to do for everyone of all ages. Below is a link to a Facebook Album of some general photos, but the photos below are the entirety of my Cosplay Selfie Series, enjoy!
